Meet Our Indianapolis Eye Care Team

Dr. Penn Moody, Founder / CEO

Raised in South Charleston, WV, after graduation from high school he attended Indiana University in Bloomington. There he earned a BS, then graduated from the School of Optometry in 1975. He has had a widely varied career path, practicing in independent offices, a national optical chain, and an inner city health care center. Using his experience in these various practice formats, he founded Moody Eyes in 2005 with the goal of providing excellent eye care and affordable, quality eyeglasses and contact lenses. He has focused on bringing this “best of both worlds” to our Indianapolis eye care team.

Connie Moody, CPA, President

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Connie earned her CPA after graduating from college with a degree in accounting, all while raising a family. She worked for JC Penney and the Ohio Department of Insurance, evaluating the financial health of Ohio based companies. She has been the Chief Examiner for the Department of Insurance for both Nevada and Indiana. In addition she has been an auditor, examining the books of insurance companies around the country. In 2016 Connie joined Moody Eyes as President, in charge of our finances and back-end office operations. Connie is an expert at pulling your vision plan coverage and applying it to your glasses or contact lens order. Since August, 2004, she has been helping our patients choose great looking glasses and ordering contact lenses.
